Today is the fundraising deadline officially and including some checks that I have sent in from fundraisers I've hosted and canvassing we raised $3302 to help fight leukemia and lymphoma society. Also this last saturday, three weeks before the pacific grove triathlon, the team in training participants and myself did our first triathlon as practice for our events. I swam half a mile rode 13 miles and ran 2.3 miles in just over one hour and fifty-one minutes. I'm feeling pretty badass. I am still not sure but I think I am going to have to switch to the sprint distance for the actual event just to allow my ankle ample and proper healing. So that means I basically did my event on Saturday! Back to the ocean and aquatic park to swim this week.

This week started with a successful fundraiser at BJ's. We raised $337 that my totals don't show yet. Then the week ended with getting back into the training groove. I actually swam over a mile in San Francisco's Aquatic Park in 43 minutes! So i guess that should put my race time at about 40 minutes. Then I got back to the bike the past couple of days also. No running yet but soon I will and I will have to put them all together. My race is less than 5 weeks away and my fundraising deadline is 2 weeks away. Help a whole lot of people out.

This week I sprained my ankle. I have kept up on the old Rest Ice Compression and Elevation and I hope to be back training fully next week but a week off seems to be a bit of a setback. No worries though I know all things are possible. The possibility that seems to be the scariest is fundraising. I got out of my shell at church this morning and handed out a bunch of fliers for a dine and donate event on tuesday at BJ's in Vacaville. That was a bit unnerving, however very rewarding to connect with a community which I am very much a part of. If you would like to come support on tuesday please send me an e-mail and I will return a flier for 15% of your food costs to go back into the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The season is more than halfway over and I just found out I can add posts to my page. I have already swam 1.5km in one time in the ocean rode my bike 27 miles at once and ran 6 miles in one go. Now I just gotta work on putting them all together. The actual race is 1.5 km (.93 mi) swim, 40km (24.8mi) bike ride, followed by a 10 km (6.4mi) run. What a feat. but the truth is what I have found to be the most challenging is fundraising. Thank you all so very much for taking the time to visit my page.
