Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

Once again this summer I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

I have been aware of Leukemia since I was quite young. Growing up outside of Chicago, our neighbor Ben had Leukemia. Ben was a couple of years older than me, and hung out with my sister. I seem to recall they had their whole lives planned out as a couple of young kids often do. The problem was a four year old (me) wanted to hang out with them as well and that sometimes became problematic. Unfortunately Ben left this world at a young age but when the discussion of the LLS brought up it is one of the things which come to mind.

As I am training if you are able to support my participation in Team in Training with a tax-deductible donation to the LLS and help advance the mission of the society to help those already diagnosed and prevent more from being added to the numbers in the future.
