through chemo, and is now happily in remission.

Hello!

I am so excited to be working with Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Since 1949, LLS has been helping improve quality of life for patients and their families by funding a search for cures and treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.

I will be training to complete a 100 mile long “century” cycling event in June and am requesting pledges. This will be very personally challenging for me (yikes!) but I am eager to have the opportunity to support children and adults living with blood cancer through this wonderful organization.

Training has been really tough, but each ride I am motivated by my amazing teammates, many of whom have survived Leukemia, and have struggled with blood cancer as recently as 2010. We have team members who have lost parents to blood cancer, and those who have supported children or spouses through it. We even have a Leukemia and Lymphoma Society-supported researcher who knows first hand the advances that LLS funds have made possible. Quite the group!
