My Fundraising Page

Feb 15, 2013

Hi! Thank you for visiting my page... I hope you followed my progress in the past few years! My many thanks goes to all of my past supporters, from encouraging words to life saving dollars, that have flowed in.

About 3 years ago, I decided that I was going to quit smoking, and bring awareness to the mind and body and power we posess over our lives. By sleeping in running shoes for weeks, I proved that one can overcome nicotine with a little crazy behavior and a lot of kind words. With all of the sweat and hard work I was putting out, I decided to make it worth something to someone else- I had given a lot to me, now it was time to give back! With this idea, I joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in their fight against blood cancers. Seeing all the purple shirts at races, knowing my mother completed Disney's marathon with TnT and the endurance test it would give myself, I signed up. It seemed only fitting as my cousin, who passed from Hodgkin's in 1996, benefitted from LLS research, and my father, who passed from cancer in 1998, loved the color purple.

Since the moment I embarked upon my first team run in the snow, I knew this was a great fit for me. From excellent coaching to the friendliest teammates, I was hooked. Back for my third race with Team in Training, I'm gearing up to take Providence by storm... or by tip-toe. This will be my FIRST race in over a year, since giving birth to my beautiful baby girl, Adelaide (April 2012).

Join me in the fight.

Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.

Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
