Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I am writing to you today in hopes that you will share in my cause. I will be running a half marathon, which is 13.1 miles, to help raise funds in the fight to cure blood cancer. I have joined a team of dedicated individuals known as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Societys Team in Training. Together we will be training to accomplish our goal of completing our marathon and raising funds to help with finding a cure for blood cancers.

I have committed to raise a minimum of $3000 over the next four months. Your contribution would mean so much to me, and more importantly, the lives of patients and families everywhere that are battling against this tragic disease. Curing blood cancer will also provide so much meaningful information in fighting all types of cancer.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the worlds largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. We are relentless in pursuit of our mission; Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkins disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Below is the group of people that I am currently dedicating my run to. Please share any of your loved ones names or stories with me so they can be added to our list and can be rightfully honored. During my race, I will also wear a (bracelet/ribbon/put their name on my shirt, etc.) to honor your loved ones.

Alison And Amber Completed 5k run on 9/7/09.

I am currently training on a daily basis and am proud to report that I am up to 6 miles. I am also training on the weekend, completing 10 to 13 miles.

On 11/14 My company, Free Time Cleaning, was a sponsor and I competed in the 5K Cowboy River Run! I finished with my best time to date! 29 minutes and 13 seconds!
