Im running a half marathon in 2010! I know what you are thinking, what has she gotten herself into now, but after being blessed with our 4th healthy child from God, I realized not all parents are so fortunate.

This half marathon and the training I will be going through over the next few months will be the hardest thing I have ever endured. I remind myself everyday that it is nothing like what my honor hero

Christopher has gone through.

Christopher was diagnosed with Leukemia at a young age and sadly after going through many chemo therapy treatments, he lost his battle in 2007. He was only 9 years old.

Leukemia is the #1 killer disease of children

Every 10 minutes someone dies of a blood cancer

In the time it took you to go to read this webpage, another person, maybe even a child will be diagnosed with a form of blood cancer.

I have pledged to raise $2,100 by 12/18/09 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help raise funds for the patient’s services program. Here are some ways your donation can help.

$25 pays the cost of a chemotherapy drug prescription co pay

$50 registers one person to become a bone marrow donor

$75 provides bone marrow typing for a family member

$100 provides transportation costs to hospital for treatments

$500 provides for patient aid for one year

My half marathon will be held March 07th 2010 in Walt Disney World . I have less than 4 months to train and raise my goal of $2,100 so Im asking for your support in helping me achieve this goal. I will greatly appreciate anything you can give.
