Nike Women's Half Marathon October 2013

In honor of my dearest "Running BFF" Lisa I will continue to fight for a cure. My friend Lisa lost her battle with cancer in October 2013, but I will continue on with Team in Training and keep her commitment to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to fundraise for patient services and support and research towards a cure. She was a huge inspiration to me and so many others, I'm proud to say she was my friend. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be involved with this AMAZING organization, doing AMAZING things for so many people!

I will be training to run the BMO Half Marathon in Vancouver BC on May 3, 2015 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training (TNT). TNT is an endurance training program whose goal is to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission to raise money for research and patient support. Since 1988, TNT's efforts have trained more than 570,000 participants who have raised over $1.32 billion!

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
