I sarted this adventure because of a bride I took wedding photos for, Jayme Hoff. She had done Team in Training last year, and loved it. I needed a kick in the pants to start running agian, and when she told me how just by running I could make a difrence in someones life I knew it was the right group for me!

Well it has been almost a month sence training has started for the marathon and i am loving every minuite of it. Not only does it feel great to get out there and run, but it is awesome to meet new friends and hear the stories of amazing people. Here is one amazing person I have met
This Is Byron. He is on the team for the 100 mile century ride this year. He is also a servivor. It is because of programs like Team in Training and pelop like you that are willing to donate to this cause that he is alive and running and bikeing today! :) He is not the only one that has been effected by canser.
I recently had the privalage to attend a nutritional clinic by Hilary Horton-Brown. This is HUGE for my family, because my Husband has type one diabeties and my son was in the NICU for blood sugar problems for almost a month after his birth. Nutrition is a very improtant part of my family's life. Hilary has this great way of looking at food that makes it fun and not a drudgery! The advice that she gave has helped my little family in the few weeks we have been using it! :) Hilary has canser. she has undergone 11 treatements so far, and is fighting. You can read some of her story here: http://www.idahostatesman.com/2010/12/09/1448782/former-bsu-athletes-rally-for.html
Your donations go to help people like Byron and Hilary. These re real people going through real problems. You can change someones life for the better with a donation nomater how big or small. Together we can make a difrence!!!

Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
Dear Friends and Family,
In the past few months I have counted far to many individuals (including 2 coworkers) who have had to confront cancer, and after mentioning this to others, I know I am not alone. Cancer is difficult, regardless of whom it afflicts. The side effects from treatments can be harsh and debilitating and recovery is not a guarantee. Particularly disturbing for me is the number of children that have been diagnosed. As a parent I could not imagine having to see my baby go through that! In response to this dilemma, I have taken a pro-active approach and joined in the fundraising effort for cancer research.
Someone once told me “Joncee, you cant change the world.” I replied “I can die trying!” This is how I try to live my life. I might not be able to change the world, but I cant just sit back and not do anything. So I am going to make a difference! On June 5th 2011, I will attempt to join the one percent of the population to complete a marathon. (Yes that means I am going to run 26.2 miles!) This has been a personal goal of mine for a while. When I found out about the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program I knew it was the right fit for me. Not only do I get a running coach, a training regimen and and enthusiastic mentor and support of awesome teammates, but I get to help make a difference!
My teammates and I each have a goal to raise a minimum of $2900.00 to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in its goal to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and associated cancers. Before getting involved with this program, I did not know that Leukemia is the number one cause of death among children. I also learned that the survival rate for Leukemia has gone from 4% in 1960 to almost 85% today! That is thanks to research funded by people involved in projects like Team in Training. People like you. For more information on the seriousness of the diseases visit www.leukemia.org.
I humbly ask your support through a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Donations are 100% tax-deductible. Your tax deductible donations will go directly to help save someone’s life! My personal fundrasing goal is to have the $2900.00 by April 20th, 2011 but donations will be accepted through May. I thank you for your consideration and I hope you will consider joining me in this effort. Collectively we can make a difference and change the world!
