Racing to Save Lives
In honor of my grandpa, Richard Thompson, whose battle with Lymphoma cancer ended in 2000. 10 years of missing you grandpa...this is for you!
Last year I signed up with TNT, fundraised for the Leukemai and Lymphoma Society and prepared for the Pacific Crest Triathlon with Team In Training. Here is a youtube link with loads of pics and some videos from my season: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VgBXFvzxMg
This year I have been working with the TNT Pacific Crest Triathlon team as the head swim coach and my hubby, Micah, is on the team training for the 1/2 Ironman Triathlon! GO TEAM!!
Now I wanted to do something different with TNT. I'm training to participate at the Portland Half Marathon in October. Next Wednesday, the 19th, is our kick off party followed by training begining. Being a part of Team In Training means I am raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives because seriously...CANCER SUCKS!!
Please make a donation to support my participation with Team In Training!!
Thanks for your support! I will be blogging about my adventure: http://teamintraining4grandpat.blogspot.com/
