Ok, here we are only 9 weeks away from my marathon event! I have decided to stick with my original plan to run the half marathon, which I believe is the best decision. I had high hopes to run the full, but my body is telling me otherwise. Are you kidding?! I \had a baby less than 8 months ago, 13.1 miles is a huge goal and I know this way I am setting myself up for success. Speaking of success...I am still in need of donations!! In order to make my running a COMPLETE success I need to raise more moo-lah. I'm waiting on a potential corporate sponsor, however I am still needing your support. Remember this is for an amazing organization that is working towards finding a cure for cancer. I run my butt off to make a difference, please help me be a COMPLETE success. Thank you ALL for your support it is so appreciated, more than you know!
Ok, here we are at the point where I thought I would be saying...it's getting easier. Not so much. Being a mom, wife, and marathon trainee is not as easy as it sounds. LOL Working in my runs, especially around a teething 7 month old has been a challenge. HOWEVER, I just completed my fundraising letter and I'm amazed at how that was exactly what I needed to keep motivated. It's a reminder of WHY I'm doing this...to find a CURE for cancer. HELLO?! Talk about a moment where I thought to myself,"Don't be such a baby, suck it up. Get out there and do it for more than just a cause. It's about the people." Amazing how I can be so self motivating! :) So, off I go...running for people, not just a cause.
Well, here we are about 16 weeks away from my very first marathon! I'm so excited to finally do something like this. Not only am I working towards a goal of running this, but I am also working towards raising money for an amazing reason-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. I've watched so many family members struggle with the battle of cancer and it's got to end. I'm hoping to keep everyone updated with my running progress as well as hopefully gain your support as well!! Thanks for taking the time to read this and until next time...
Love, Bri <3
Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
