Running to Save Lives
Hello everyone!
I'm now up to 15 miles ... Can you believe it? I can't. Only about 6 weeks to go until the big race in San Diego.
I'm training to participate in my first-ever marathon == the San Diego Rock 'n Roll Marathon on May 31 == as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of my friend Katie, who's recovering from a bone marrow transplant and whose courage inspires me every day.
I'm also running in memory of Lucas and Jonathan, two people who lost their lives much too soon to leukemia.
