Racing to Save Lives, One mile at a Time, One Event at a Time
Here are some current photos of our last training day
May 29 Doreena Lake
What a crew!
Here we go to begin our 1200 swim, 25 mile bike ride followed by a 6 mile run.
We love a challenge!

Transitioning from Swim to Bike

I AM so happy to be out of that ice melt lake!
Tyler gets a little stuck in his transition....
AND Finally
bike to run transition

Jen n' I utilizing our visual training for running- didn't get away with it,
our teammates sent us on our way
This was the first time I have been able to complete the circuit- NOW that calls for a celebration!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate on June 27 2010, in my very first triathalon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and Myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling or have fought this disease.
This is my way of standing up for my loved ones and show them how courageuos I think they have been in their fight against cancer.
This is for my sweet friend Eileen,
for her son in law Jerrad (celebrating his new baby!),
for my Uncle Jack and
my forever mate Bob C.
I know their stories, I wanted to honor them
These people are the real heroes on our team.
This is the legacy I can leave for them.
This is how I deal with my grief and anger against this disease.

We Run no matter the weather
I need your support to cross the ultimate finish line! I have committed to the workouts as advised by our trainers and to raising $3400.00 before June 15!
Your encouragement and contributions will enable me to be successful.
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
If you would like include a name in your donation and I will add them to my banner (which will hang from my bike as well)
Thanks for your support!
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress and fun pics
Here's is our latest hysteria! The lake water temp will be, at best, 60 degrees. Wetsuits are a must. I thought the hard part would be the swim, after an hour of trying to get into this thing I realize I have a lot more practicing to do.

As my bud CP would say "Yikes"
Our Team

May
Tri training day- Having mastered getting into my wetsuit, swimming and breathing in a very cold lake, I was grateful to be back on dry land to begin 22 mile bike workout followed by 5mile run! The picture is of course the begining of the ride (Im smiling).

We are still racing to save lives
Jannette and I keeping up with Krista

Still Running no matter the weather
