Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

After completing my first full marathon in December of 2009, I started the new year with a desire to do something more. I had always had the plan to do a triathlon in the back of my head and decided 2010 would be the time to make that dream a reality. After talking with several people and attending an informational meeting, I decided to make this journey even more special by committing my efforts towards a bigger purpose. This journey isn't just about me anymore. It is about those affected by blood cancer and their family, friends, and coworkers. I am doing my small part to help find a cure. Please join me the next 16 weeks as I train and raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Every dollar helps put us one step closer to finding a cure.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Update : Feb 6th, 2010 - Thanks to everyone for their support! With your help, I recieved the Fundraising Superstar award for this week! I also have decided to up the ante and raise my fundraising goal to $4,500 to support the Society's mission due to the overwhelming positive response from everyone the past week. Let's keep up the good work and continue the fight!
