Running 50k to Raise $50k
My name is Steve Chaparro. I am a marathoner and I am trying to raise $50,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). I have joined LLS' Team in Training (TNT) which is America's largest endurance training organization to train to run the Rock n Roll Seattle Marathon on JUne 27, 2009.
Over the past 20 years, TNT has grown to become an unparalleled sports training program. More than 380,000 participants, from first timers to seasoned athletes, have trained with the Team and achieved their best at marathons, half marathons, triathlons, 100-mile century bike rides and hiking adventures.
While I am training, I will be holding a major fundraising event called "Run 50k to Raise $50k". This event will consist of a 50 km (31 miles) on a treadmill. RunRaise50k will occur at The Block at Orange on May 23, 2009. The event will also be broadcast live online at www.DoxaSports.com. Remember that address, www.DoxaSports.com. Supporters will be asked to donate onsite or online during the event. Also, several restaurants will be holding fundraisers on the same day in which they will donate a portion of their proceeds to LLS.
