Happy New Year! I ran a half marathon, woohoo!....
No, that's not me in the picture, but I will soon be posting the pictures taken of me walk/running the half marathon on Saturday, January 10th in Disney!
I trained to run the half marathon in Florida (DISNEY!) as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. I'm STILL raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I did this in memoriam of Robbie Greenberger (my friend's nephew) and for all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
I have never run a half marathon (let alone run for the bus!) before, so as challenging as it is for me to push myself to walk/run the miles, I know that it can’t be harder than undergoing the treatments for these diseases or watching someone you love endure the pain. This is the least I can do and I am thankful to have the ability to do this for them.
Fundraising deadline goal coming up: I am trying to reach $3700 by January 30th!
I am less than halfway there, so I need lots of help! Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. You may click on the link to the left to donate by credit card (fast and easy!) or write and mail me a check payable to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. My address is: 414 East 65th Street, 4G Ny, NY 10065.
Your contribution is 100% tax deductible and 500% appreciated!
Thanks for reading this and for sending anything you are able to. Thanks also for your support!
Love you all!!!!
