UPDATE! 3/25/11

If we've chatted over the past 2 months then you know how hard training has been for me! I sustained a near stress fracture injury in my left shin and have been unable to run, or have been running with quite discomfort. Thankfully, with the guidance of my wonderful Team in Training coaches, mentors, and teammmates, I have been able to keep my head up and look towards the Vancouver Marathon with hope. I have decided to run the half, not the full, marathon and hope recovery will be quick and possible for May 1. Again, I cannot thank you enough for your support. Without you, my run in Vancouver would not be possible. More importantly, without you, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society would not be moving closer to their goal of finding a cure.

Welcome to my Team in Training fundraising home page!

I learned about Team in Training through a good family friend and knew this was something I had to be part of. I have always wanted to run a marathon but didn’t quite have the training to do so. I am so excited to train with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training for the Vancouver Half Marathon. I volunteered at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in high school and personally got to know people diagnosed with blood cancer, including some very young patients. I am running the Vancouver Half Marathon for them, their families, and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes of our team. We need your support to cross the ultimate finish line – a cure!
