Tucson or Bust (Part III)


August 25, 2009 is the first anniversary of Mom being in remission!


In 2007, I trained all summer and fall with Team in Training (TNT), then rode my bike 109 miles in my first El Tour de Tucson. You honored that commitment by donating $15,395 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to assist their fight against leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood cancers.


In spring 2008, I rode America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride (in Tahoe) as Fundraising Captain for the NYC chapter in June, then completed my second El Tour de Tucson in November, and you supported my efforts this time to the amazing tune of $16,548.


But as you well know, this fight isn't over. Mom's prognosis, a year after successful treatment sent her Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia into remission, is good. But many thousands of others are not as lucky. This is a fight that we can't afford to lose. So I'm Fundraising Captain for the NYC chapter of TNT again this fall.


I'm riding 100 miles in the Seacoast Century (Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine) on September 26, and then another 109 miles in Arizona on November 21, because our work isn't done yet. And I'm asking you to come along on these rides with me by making a donation to the LLS.
