Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in the San Diego Rock n Roll half-marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

I'm now running in memory of talented photographer and blogger Yulanda Yee who after a second battle with lymphoma, passed away February 11th 2010 at 28 years old. I was a regular reader of her blog and last year, when her lymphoma returned and she spent more time in the hospital, the frequency of her beautiful blog posts became less and less. While I'm sure the last few months of her life were very hard for her, she still maintained a positive outlook and her posts remained vibrant. I didn't know Yulanda personally but her photographs, unique style, and positivity were so inspiring. I miss seeing her updates (and now her blog seems to be unavailable).

At the beginning of this mission I just wanted to train for a race and cross something off my bucket list. But it has since become something much more important. I'm helping to save lives and give people more time with their loved ones! Who doesn't want to do that? I'm sure you do so please donate and spread the word!
