Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
Yup this is my fourth marathon in 21 months. I'm raising money as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training's Arizona Rock and Roll Marathon . All of us on Team In
Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin
lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Another reason why I run:
Jane Sanders lives with her husband and daughter in Forrest Hills, Queens. On May 12th, 2007, at age 41, she was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). Today, Jane is at Stage 0. This is largely because of the advancements from research funded by money raised by you and every TNT Hero that has come before you.
"Do not let fear override your life. I don’t know when or if my CLL will hit, but at least I know that I have raised money and awareness for these blood cancers. I will not play victim to this disease, and since I am currently healthy, I have no excuse not to be an active participant in finding a cure. In that I feel very fortunate." - Jane Sanders
