Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to our mom's Moms In Training home page.
She is working very hard, training daily, to be able to complete a 10K event on June 8th in Central Park. She is doing this because thanks to research funded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the survival rate for childhood leukemia (ALL) has risen from 4% in 1960 to over 90% today. We want to be able to live in a world where this number goes up to 100%, and this is The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS)'s goal too! Hopefully, LLS's research will help cure all cancers, since we are all effected, or know someone who is effected by cancer!
At the beginning on 2013, we lost our great-grandfather (mom's grandfather), Grandpapa. Grandpapa was diagnosed with bladder cancer about 15 years ago. He had gone through surgeries annually to remove the new growth in his bladder, until last year, the surgery did not help. The cancer had spread everywhere and chemo and radiation did not help. Perhaps if other treatments would have been available, we would still have our Grandpapa today. Our wish is that by funding research with LLS, more options and more cures will be found for everyone to be able to live a cancer-free life!
Please make a donation in support of mom's efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
Thanks!
Jonathan and Gabrielle
