You know what I hate? Cancer.

I hate all cancer. I want to kill it, now and forver. To that end, I’m participating in the NYC Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. I have a very close family member who had Leukemia, and without the incredible research and advances in treatment, he wouldn't be alive today. So I have a debt to pay.

To help do that, I am going to do three things I have never done before: Swim 1500 meters, bike 40 kilometers, and run 10 kilometers, and I'm going to do them back to back to back. Having grown up with bad knees and being told that I "shouldn't run," and having torn both of my rotator cuffs more times than I can count, this represents a significant challenge for me. But I am going to do it. These hardships pale in comparison to enduring cancer and chemotherapy. If survivors of Leukemia and Lymphoma can do that, then I can do this.

Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. That's what this page is for. Your donations will go to the LLS. It will improve patient's lives and move us closer to a cure.
