Racing to Save Lives

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

As many of you know, I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. On July 18, 2010, I will swim 0.9 miles, run 6.2 miles, and bike 26 miles to help raise money to fund cancer research. Yes, I plan to pant around the streets of NYC!

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

How serious is blood cancer? Every five minutes, someone in the United States learns that he or she has leukemia, Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma or myeloma. Every ten minutes, someone dies of blood cancer.

Please consider making a generous donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. Please note that your donation is 100% tax deductible, and more importantly, will help support LLS' commitment to increase the survival rate of adults and children diagnosed with Lymphoma and Leukemia.

Also, please feel free to send the name of anyone that has been touched by any form of blood cancer, and I will attach a ribbon with his/her name to my singlet on the day of the triathlon.
