Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page!
I am eager to share with you a huge personal endeavor I have just begun! I am training to compete in The Nautica New York City Triathlon on July 26, 2009. The Nautica New York City Triathlon is an Olympic Distance race consisting of a 1500m swim, a 40k bike, and a 10k run.
As a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training Program, I have pledged to train in honor of the true heroes who are battling blood cancers and help raise funds to stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
As I "tri" the Olympic distance triathlon, I know that each mile will symbolize another step on the road to a cure for blood cancers. Please take a moment and consider donating for a worthy cause.
You can donate either:
Cash
Check made out to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and returning it to me,
Or by visiting my fundraising website at:

There are a number of ways to help:
1. A flat donation in any amount that feels comfortable for you and your wallet.
2. Think of sponsoring me $XX/mile and I'll throw in the 1.6 miles at the end in for free.
3. Pledge $10/mile or more and I'll name my firstborn after you. (Just Kidding!)
As an added incentive, I'm inviting all donors to send me the name of either a cancer survivor or victim in honor of whom they are making the donation. For each name I receive, I will attach a ribbon to my singlet on race day to remind everyone why we're running.
I understand that during our troubled economy it may be difficult, but it is imperative to remember that cancer remains a problem in good times as well as bad. Please join me in supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's vital mission. Your generosity is what gives me hope that a cure for blood cancers is in sight!
