Gearing up for the 2019 Cast Iron Bitch World Tour where we'll be hitting the inaugural Ironman Ireland! The Poor Bastard is looking forward to enjoying several pints of Guinness while I'm out suffering through 140.6. Being an Iron Sherpa is hard work.

I can hear you thinking "Yeah. Yeah. Whatever. You've done 3 Ironman races, this is not a big deal" Well, you'd be right, and you'd also be dead wrong. While it's true this isn't my first 140.6 race, this one will be more challenging than my previous races in that it's going to require me to do something I do not like to do - swim in the ocean. With blue sharks - don't laugh them off even if they are only the 9th most dangerous shark in the world- and jellyfish the size of trash can lids. 

Sometimes you have to do shit that scares you or so they tell me. Right now I have two family members who are doing battle with cancer and frankly that's scarier than almost anything the Celtic Sea can throw at me - unless it suddenly gets infested with Great Whites, then all bets are off.
