When I was in high school I couldn't run a mile but on October 6, 2013 I ran 13.1 of them and completed my first half marathon. At the finish line I was teary eyed, screaming and filled with immense joy after a long summer of training and doubting myself every step of the way.

Within minutes of crossing that finish line though I looked to my parents and said "Man, I wish I ran that race for charity". I knew at that moment that I was hooked on half marathons and wanted my next big race to support a great cause.

The Leukemia Lymphoma Society is a cause near and dear to my heart since blood cancer has personally affected my family. I am so incredibly excited to be running my second half marathon with such a great charity.

So now it's time to start half marathon training once again! Who would've thought I'd be excited to say those words?

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
