Here I am before the race
Mile 11
I am a finisher!!
well at least at shorter distances. I ran yesterdays Colon Cancer Challenge 4 miler and I finished in 48:22 which is a pace 12:06. I was so excited to break my goal time of 50 minutes. I felt great when it was over and even managed a 3 miles run today at a slightly slower but still respectable pace.
Oh... and I looked super cute in my sparkle skirt while doing it yesterday too!
Thanks to all who have supported me so far. I still need to fundraise, so please consider giving. Every bit helps... consider giving up your coffee for a week to help. :)
So I am using my newest pretty sneakers (below) this past week. The holidays threw my training off, but I am back at it despite the crazy weather... spring Saturday, winter tonight and who knows what the rest of the week will bring, but I throw on the clothes and shoes and hit the park.
Coming up this weekend a long run... 10-12 miles on Sunday. Let's hope for some good weather.
Hi all. Just a quick update on training and more.
THANKS to all who have supported me so far. I am almost half-way to my fundraising goal.
Two Sunday's ago, I woke up at 2:15 am to get ready to run my first half marathon... the Disney Princess Half Marathon. Despite the weather and the crowds. It was a truely magical experience.
This photo was taken by my brother Jonathan at mile 4 just before entering the Magic Kingdom.
Please support me as I fundraise for LLS in memory of my mother, Gloria while continuing my training to be ready for the Nike Women's Half Marathon on April 28th. I am hoping to beat my time seen above though I can't imagine the certificate will look as pretty.
Here I am at the Hot Chocolate 10K a few weeks before I joined TNT. I finished that race with an average speed of 12:45 per mile. I am working hard now to meet or beat that time for my upcoming races.
