Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in my first (but not last!) marathon! I will run the Nike Women's Marathon on October 18th as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training for the Fall 2009 season.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Thank you for your support. With only two weeks remaining until race day your support provides a tremendous boost of confidence. After five months of challenging workouts including hill repeats, speed workouts and long runs in Central Park , the outer boroughs, and New Jersey -- spanning the Brooklyn, Williamsburg and George Washington Bridges -- I'm more than prepared for marathon day and so excited this day is coming to fruition.

Throughout this season I've eliminated obstacles and knocked down barriers proving to myself that I can acheive whatever goals I set for myself. I've cut minutes off my mile, 5K and 10K times and ran my first half marathon in Queens just two weeks ago.

I'm so excited to participate in my first marathon and can't wait to share my experience with you. Thank you again for all your support. It means more than you'll ever know
