I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

update: the picture above was taken after my very first race. The Hope and Possibilities Race was a 5miler, and I made it in good time: 48 minutes! (ok, ok..so maybe that's no hare...but the tortoise won....um...am i right?!)
update 2: ran another race (4miler). beat my time, and had my parents and Shawn waiting at the finish line. for some reason the "my thanks" on this page is put in by someone other than myself. my apologies if you are a couple and they only list one of you. i have no idea how to change this. also, the $240 that is listed under my name was all the money raised by the Cuss Jar! so thanks to all the performers and people attending that show.
