As a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training, I'm preparing for the ING Miami Marathon/Half-Marathon on January 31, 2010. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop the blood cancers leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma from claiming more lives. Leukemia, for instance, causes more deaths among children under the age of 20 than any other cancer. Although I'm especially running in memory of my "2nd mom" Paulette Nicholls, who because of cancer isn't here today, those battling blood cancers now and in the future are who we all run for, the heroes on our team. We all need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
