"David, We don't know each other -- but I saw your Facebook event through my colleague Sushma and it brought me to your page/blog. Your story really touched me, as my mom was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer in June. And well, let's face it, chemo is bad -- but what possibly lies ahead is so much scarier. I wish you the best of luck in your training -- and know that people, even strangers, are cheering you on."
