My Fundraising Page
Jun 01, 2013
Once again I have signed up to swim, bike, and run in order to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Each year the challenge researchers face attempting to end cancer become more daunting, in the spirit of these men and women on the front-line and in honor of everyone affected by blood cancer, this year I have decided to challenge myself further. I will be completing Ironman 70.3 Mont-Tremblant; yes, I will be completing my first half-marathon, after a short 56 mile bike ride, and 1.2 mile swim in a cold Canadian lake. Also this year I have set my fundraising goal for $7,000, which is the approximate cost to cure one person stricken with blood cancer.
Please help me support the LLS find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. Together we can improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Every donation matters.
A $25 donation covers taxi transport for a patient to the hospital for treatment.
A $50 donation covers the cost of adding one person to the bone marrow registry.
A $100 donation funds one more day of research towards a cure.
A $500 donation provides patient aid for a full year.
A $7000 donation saves one more life from blood cancer.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
