Racing to Save Lives


As some of you know, I was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia one month before I turned 17. For a year, I endured harsh chemotherapy and anti-body treatments, hair loss and painful procedures. But with my incredible doctors by my side, and the support of my family and friends, I survived.


I was lucky. Not everyone who is diagnosed with this disease gets the good news that I did. I'm training to participate in the Hamptons Half Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.


I am completing this half marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, and to remember all of the friends I made at 6 Conklin at Hackensack University Medical Center. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
