Twelve Mile Training Run
Jul 10, 2011 by Keith Frost
Finished feeling strong, and took about two hours. Based on my performance thus far, I could run a half marathon any time now. Given that I have two more months to train, I'm seriously looking into running the full marathon September 24.
Maplewood Fourth of July 5K

I ran the race this morning, after registering at the last minute at the starting line. I put on a burst of speed down the final hill on the loop to finish the 5K in 20:29, and earned a third place medal.

Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in Hamptons Half-Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I chose this cause for a very personal reason. Jane Pegler, my first wife and mother of our children Lauren and Ian, died of Hodgkin's lymphoma when she was but 29 years old, and Lauren and Ian were just five and three. In memory of Jane, for our children, for myself, for all those fighting today against blood cancers, and the people who love them, I intend to run the Hamptons Half-Marathon in less than two hours, on September 24, 2011 -- the day Ian turns 18.
Any help you can give will arrive too late to save Jane from an untimely death, but there are many people who have blood cancers and need help today. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
