I've signed up to do the New York City Half Marathon as part of The Leukaemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training and I need your help.

As usual, I've left it a little late. I've got 8 weeks to train and 6 weeks to raise a lotta cash, so please give me some.

Why? Because the money's going somewhere pretty important.

What's more, this is no easy feat. While I may have run before, this time I'm training in the dark, cold, rainy, snowy Northern Hemisphere. And you all know how I feel about the cold.

What's even more, the race is the day after my birthday. Hence I will be forgoing a celebratory drink and you won't be able to shout me one. See this as my birthday present instead.
