I'm Running ANOTHER Marathon!!!
OK - those of you that know me from way back when I wouldn't be caught running to catch a bus will have just fallen off their chairs! Yes I am running my second marathon - actually I am going to be running the NYC half-marathon followed by the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington DC.
Firstly, I want to thank everyone who help me raise over $4,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society when I completed the "Rock 'N' Roll" Marathon in Phoenix, Arizona on January 18th 2009 in 4 hours and 14 minutes.
I need your help again. The economic crisis is affecting charities as much as anything and I need your support to help me raise more money to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The LLS are on a relentless journey to find a cure for blood cancers and along the way they are helping and supporting many, many families and individuals who have been unfortunate to have cancer enter their lives. Now more than ever they need your continued financial support to continue to do the amazing work they do.
I challange you to either run a marathon with me OR you can do a nice little click of your mouse on the right-hand side of the page and donate (even a dollar) and help me help this fantastic charity. Each dollar funds research, patient services and education, and your donation is 100% tax deductible.
Thank you for your support!
Darren

So last week I got back into training after a four week achilles injury. It was driving me crazy not being able to run with the team but since last Friday (5 days ago) I have clocked 21 miles of running.
