Racing to Save Lives



Thank you for coming to my Team In Training home page.



I will be running my first marathon on October, 26th, 2008 in Washington D.C. as a participant of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team in Training.



When I was in nursing school at the University of Iowa, I had the chance to do one of my clinical rotations in Oncology. The patients I cared for on this unit were incredibly strong and inspirational, and I will definitely be keeping them in mind when I am running the 26.2 miles.



All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
