Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of my friend, Justin Sullivian.

In September, Casey's business partner took on the great and heroic responsibility of taking care of Justin during the last 3 months of his life. He was battling a superstrain of Hodgkin lymphoma. The cancer had gone to his brain, so he had to be with someone 24 hours a day. Therefore, Casey got the humbling opportunity to also spend his last 3 months with him. He came to her art studio everyday - sleeping a lot, eating many freezer pops and occasionally helping with their chaotic orders. He passed on Dec. 12th and has left a huge impression in our hearts. He certainly inspired me to take life by the horns because you never know how long you are going to be here. Justin always wanted to do a triathalon, so we are going to complete this one in honor of him.

Casey was planning on participating in the event on May 31st, but as most of you know she will be 7 months pregnant by then! She really wanted to participate, so I am not only competing for Justin but for my growing family too. The rock hard abs that I will get during this hard core training process are not a bad trade off either (for my wife).
