RUNNING TO SAVE LIVES

Welcome to my Team In Training home page. Thanks for visiting, and yes, I am going to run a marathon.

I know what a lot of you are thinking, but no, that's not a typo. I am going to run real a marathon, not just a figurative one. Those of you who know me well enough are aware of how exercise-challenged I can be but this is different. I'm training to participate in a marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers.

I especially want to honor four people who have fought or are currently battling these diseases: Chenee Cayco, Linda "Nene" Malik, vonne Francis, and Dave Eckberg. They are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. Your support means so much to our honorees and their families, and this heroic gesture brings us one step closer to wiping out these diseases.

This leg our journey will take us to Seattle for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon. Right now it seems a long way off, literally and symbolically, but I'm ready to embark on this journey. You can share in my progress here, so be sure to check back frequently.
