Sass, style, vivacious, strong - words that fall short trying to describe my Kari. You may or may not know her. If you are here it means you are at least willing to be supportive of my efforts in her name. Here is a shot of her after her first two rounds of chemo.

With the help of the folks at Team In Training I am attempting my first distance running event at the Honored Hero Run (http://honoredherorun.com/) this October. The hero I am running for is Kari Giles (http://friendsbeatingcancer.org/kari-giles/), a dear friend who has recently been diagnosed with stage four lymphoma. She has an amazing amount of support coming her way through our friends, family and community. Having been her running buddy for the last couple of years, I thought this was something I could do to help her journey through cancer treatment.

Kari has been a positive force in my life for years, and this is the least I can do. If you cannot walk with me, donate to my run and assist me in seeing a cure for lymphoma become a reality.
