I recently switched to the Wounded Warrior Half Marathon on June 8th in Irving, TX due to a personal commitment that conflicted with the Seattle Rock N Roll Half Marathon. Now my fundraising minimum is only $1,700 - EASY! Thanks to my fabulous friends & family, I'm almost halfway there! Please donate today if you haven't already done so to help me in my personal efforts to beat blood cancers!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page! On Saturday June 21st, 2014, I will be running the Seattle Rock N’ Roll Half Marathon as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team in Training. I have committed to raising at least $3,200 in the fight against blood cancers.
Why do I train?
Working at LLS, I get to interact with blood cancer survivors on a daily basis who constantly inspire me. I work on events where I help others to fundraise, but I want to do my part to fundraise to help find a cure for blood cancers as well. I will be participating in the Team In Training program to honor all of the survivors I’ve met at LLS. Although it will be a challenging experience, it’s nothing compared to what the blood cancer patients go through on a daily basis. I train to help find a cure.
How can you help?
Please support me in helping to find a cure for blood cancers by making a donation today! Every dollar counts! By making a tax-deductible donation, you can make a huge difference in the fight against blood cancers.
Thank you in advance for your support not only of me but the entire Team In Training organization. If you have any questions, please email me at Melissa.Jacobowski@lls.org.
What is Team In Training?
Team In Training is a sports endurance program that provides you with all of the coaching, support and inspiration you will need - and you raise funds to help fight blood cancer along the way!
Since 1988, when the first team of TNT marathoners was formed, the program has helped 570,000 people achieve their dream of completing a marathon, half marathon, triathlon, 100-mile (century) bicycle ride or hike adventure. And, since its inception, TNT participants have raised over $1.4 billion on behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
