Hi Everyone!


Most likely you are here because you got an email or letter from me or you saw my post on Facebook, and I thank you just for being here!


Anyone who knows me well knows that I always say "I'm gonna take a break and not do anything for [some period of time]. That was my plan for this summer...no school, no volunteer work...nothing...just be lazy. How unrealistic of me!


Happily and for good reason I have joined Team in Training and will be spending the better part of the next 6 months training for a half marathon in November at White Rock Lake and most importantly helping to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in hopes that one day there will be a cure for all types of leukemia. I don't know about you but I know, either personally or through friends, 11 people that have or have died from some type of leukemia and that's 11 people way too many.


I will be completing this event in honor of my husband and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Katie and Jamie purchased an item from me on eBay. 100% of the proceeds from the sale are being donated. Sadly, Katie's father died suddenly from AML only 3 months after his diagnosis. A reminder again of how many lives are affected by Leukemia. Many thanks and gratitude, and much sadness for their loss go out to Katie and Jamie."
