We would like to note that since this page was "transferred" over mid-season when I decided to add the Tahoe event and complete two rides in honor of Georgia...the names of donors that originally donated on the first site did not transfer over. It was important to me that they were included on this site too, so I listed them below. I cannot thank all my donors enough...as I said in one of my blog posts...it is YOU who is the wind at my back.

I'm currently training for another century - the Shiner GASP. A 100 mile ride from Austin to Shiner, Texas on May 1, 2010. I just participated in the Dallas White Rock Marathon on December 13, 2009, along with my wife, Dianna and our niece, Allie, in honor of her 15th year in remission from leukemia. Allie ran the final 6 mile leg of the relay. In total this was the 4th event our family participated in with Allie as our honored hero. We are thankful that she is a happy and healthy high school student and now an official TNT alum!

I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, in particular a recent friend named Georgia. Georgia is a 10 year old who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on her 10th birthday...December 30, 2009. She is a family member of one of our friends and Dianna and I were so touched by her story that we contacted her parents to ask if she would be my honored hero. We have visited Georgia's website and corresponded with her parents and it is amazing the amount of inspiration adults can draw from children like Georgia. She has six months of treatment plus two years of maintenance ahead of her...needless to say this makes the aches and pains of training seem minor by comparison. Simply said if Georgia can battle cancer I can ride 100 miles in her honor and let her know she and her family are not alone in this battle. Wouldn't it be great if Georgia could also become a TNT alum like Allie when she is 15 years old and celebrating 5 years in remission!!!

These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! I want to raise funds to help children like Allie and Georgia and to ultimately stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking lives. The money raised goes directly to research and awareness of blood cancers in the ongoing effort to find a cure.
