Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

(Update: As of August 30, I have completed 45.73 miles of training and met many amazing individuals along the way. I am signed up for 2 5K's next month, both for different charities close to my heart. Go team!)

I'm training to participate in The White Rock Marathon in Dallas on December 13th as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. I am running on a relay team, which means that I will be running 1/5 to 1/2 of the marathon. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. While I have not been directly affected by this type of cancer, my life has been deeply touched by other types of cancers. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
