Saving Lives, One Mile at at Time
Welcome
to my Team In Training home page.
This is the third year that I am participating in Team in Training. It has been quite an interesting journey from my first race, a mistaken half marathon (see the story: click here). Now, I have completed 6 half marathons and a few 5ks/10ks. It is amazing to see how my love for running has come and gone, but I continue to stick with it. I have learned many lessons from running that have applied to life, and I continue to learn with every step I take.
I think the most impactful thing I have seen over the last 3 years with Team in Training is the, unfortunantly, increasing number of people I know that have had their lives impacted with Leukemia or Lymphoma. It is sad to see these numbers growing and moving closer to home. This is why I continue to run in their honor - so that a cure can be found with every step and every dollar raised.
I urge you to continue supporting me in these efforts. I have 6 weeks until race day. It seems like a short amount of time, but I know that together, we can meet the $1000 goal!! (Dont worry, I'll do all the running!)
This year, to encourage fund raising and to say thank you, I am giving something back to my supporters! I will be raffling off an IPOD TOUCH!!! For every $10 that you donate, your name will be placed in a drawing. I will announce the winner on Dec 13, after the race. It would be a great Christmas gift or something fun for you.
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often.
Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress.
Thanks for your support!
