I am training for a cure! On Sunday, May 3, 2009 I will be completing my first marathon ever - NJ State Marathon (26.2 miles) to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training (TNT) Program. TNT is the number one endurance sport training program in the world. Since its inception in 1988, TNT has raised nearly $900 million for research and patient aid and I am so proud to be part of it.

This year we are honoring three very special teammates who have or are battling leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin, non-Hodgkin, or myeloma; Sue Kessen, Gary Cohen, and Kevin McKonell!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma's Society is the world's largest voluntary heath organization and ensures that 75% of every dollar raised is used to advance its mission to cure leukemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Every five minutes, someone in the United States learns that he or she has leukemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma or myeloma - that's over 300 people a day.

All contributions are tax deductible and will further the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's program of research and patient aid. My personal goal is to raise over $2,000.00. A contribution in any amount will help bring the Society one step closer to a cure.

If you choose to donate $50.00 or more, feel free to give me the name of someone you would like me to run in honor/memory of. Their names will be printed on my running shirt, and when I need inspiration, I will look to their names and remember the cause - - the Team’s running paths are lined with the angels that we have lost - we do not want any more!
