***Stay up-to-date with my journey of training for 26.2 miles and raising funds at Just Another Place to Escape!***
Please keep in mind that if you mail me a check it may take up to a month to clear - this is not my doing, but when I send it to LLS it takes awhile to go through...just a head's up!!
Wow! Can you believe I'm at it again? This time I'm running a full marathon - yes, 26.2 miles! For those of you who are new to my passion for Team in Training, please click here to read my story!
With the LLS I know, without a shadow of a doubt, the money fundraised will go directly to cancer patients. It helps find a cure, assists with transportation costs, medical and treatment bill and helps get rid of cancer.
I will complete this event in honor of my Papa and ALL individuals battling blood cancers. THEY are the real heroes on our team and I need YOUR support to cross the ultimate finish line: a cure!
Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated. You may make your tax-deductible donation via snail mail, or simply donate here online! When you donate, please include the name(s) of the people in your life who have been affected by these cancers, as I would like to also run in honor of them.
Where Does Your Donation Go?
$32.20 pays for anti-nausea medicine.
$54 is one week of low grade chemotherapy
$75 is how much it costs to screen for a bone marrow donor.
$100 pays for monthly blood analysis
$200 pays for a blood transfusion
$300 trains 25 peer volunteers who can provide emotional support to newly diagnosed patients.
$500 provides patient aid to a person with Leukemia or a related cancer for a year.
