Welcome to my Team In Training home page!
I have decided to run a half marathon! I will be training with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training (TNT). I'm training to run the Nike Woman’s ½ Marathon in Washington, D.C. on April 28, 2013. I recently decided to join TNT to show my support of cancer research.
This is my very first running event. I am extremely nervous about the whole thing, but thanks to all the encouragement and support I have already received I know this will be a great experience.
Team in Training is a non-profit endurance training program that benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. In exchange for the training and support provided by TNT, I have committed to raise $3200 to help find a cure for blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and Hodgkin’s disease. The money I raise will pay for research, support groups, educational programs and financial planning for afflicted families.
Would you please join me in this effort and support me to help reach my fundraising goal? With your help, my commitment to help find a cure for blood cancers and bring hope to the individuals and families who are faced with these diseases every day can and will be reached! Every dollar you donate is tax deductible. Whether donating for blood cancer research, to those hoping for a cure, or in honor of those you’ve known with a blood cancer, your generous donations are greatly appreciated. .
If you know someone who has been afflicted with a blood cancer, I would love to run in their honor as well. Please tell me their name(s) and I will be sure to recognize them on my Team in Training Homepage and also on my Team in Training jersey.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
Thank you in advance for your support. It really means a lot to me!
