Dose of Hope - The Road to WDW 2012

Dec 20, 2011

Hello Again!

Can you believe that Christmas is Sunday? Me either! I don't think I'm ready. I'm not even sure how i managed to do my shopping between work, training and fundraising! If you feel the same, trust me, you're not alone!

I have a NEW raffle starting TONIGHT (December 20th) that is running for ONE WEEK ONLY! This is one super awesome because I have not one but TWO PRIZES! What a great opportunity to win a little something for yourself and help a great cause!

Prize #1: $50 Gift Certificate to Brooklyn Brewery!

I got their beer making gifts for TWO lucky people this year (no, I will not indulge who..) and they are so well put together! This gift cert is enough for a 1 gallon beer kit AND an additional 1 gallon mix or any accessory of your choice! The price is certainly right, well presented and their customer service is next to none. Forget "Mr. Beer", these kits have class! And with an ever rotating selection of mixes, there's a selection for every taste!

Prize #2 $50 Gift Certificate to Thinkgeek.com!

Not a beer person? That's ok! ThinkGeek is by far my favorite online store and one look around their website and you'll quickly see why! They have all sorts of cool gadets, clothing, toys, books and yummy edibles for pretty much anyone. Its nearly impossible to browse and NOT find something you don't want/NEED.

http://www.thinkgeek.com/

THE RULES

Every $5 donation earns you an entry into the prize drawing of your choice.

You're allowed to mix and match entries (Example: A donation of $15 can have 3 donations for beer or 2 donations for beer, 1 for thinkgeek, 2 for thinkgeek, 1 for beer, etc)

Please leave a comment on this post letting me know which drawing you want your entries to go to! If I see a donation and no comment, I will follow up with you via email.

This raffle applies to all NEW donations starting today, December 20th until 11:59 pm on December 27th. The winners will be announced on December 28th on here and via email!

Gift certificates will be delivered via email so PLEASE make sure you give me a valid email that you check! If you do not get back to me within a reasonable amount of time to claim your prize, I will hold another drawing!

Good Luck to everyone! As always, if you have any questions, you may contact me at ATkaczyk@gmail.com

Thanks to everyone for your continued support and enjoy the festivities, whatever they may be! :)

Good Evening Everyone!

Thanks again to everyone for the great success for my iPad raffle! I have a few more exciting things in the works, but I wanted to move on to my next fundraiser until I have all the details in order for our next raffle!

Buy a mile!

This is very simple. For a $50 donation I will dedicate 1 mile out of the 13.1 miles in my half marathon to you or in memory of a friend/relative/loved one. I will take a picture at each marker to commemorate the people who have inspired to push myself through this event and these pictures will of course be posted here and emailed to the donor personally.

I would like to offer a mile to dedicate to anyone who donated over $50 to me thus far and I will be reaching out to you all privately. Please come back and check which miles are still available!

So far:

Mile 1 - For Jeannine Bressie

Mile 2 - For Mom & Dad

Mile 3 - For Lori Wengryn

Mile 4 - For Bryan Wengryn

Mile 5 - For Adrianna

Mile 6-

Mile 7 - For Kimberly Zapata

Mile 8

Mile 9

Mile 10

Mile 11

Mile 12

Mile 13- For Jason Zapata

Thanks again everyone! Let's keep the great karma flowing!

In my last post, I introduced you to the adorable holiday items I've been making to raise money for LLS! I am MORE than thrilled to announce:

With the proceeds from online and craft fair sales, we've raised $300! And we're getting in new orders everyday! Thank you to everyone for all of their support so far!

A special shout out also goes to the CHS Band Parents Association, for their generous donation of $200! Remember, support your local schools and their arts programs!

We are still selling Snowman Soups and Poops until December 15th for Christmas delivery! If you are looking to place a larger order, please remember, the earlier the better! We've also created a new snowbuddy to our store. He's short and oh so sweet!

Don't you just want to EAT HIM UP!? Well you can! This adorable guy is a big 4.4oz Hershey bar! His hat is also a pair of gloves so long after this snowman is gone, you can go out and make one of your own! Makes an amazing gift stockig stuffer or gift for coworkers, teachers, mailmen or yourself!

To get your hands on this cutie and more, please visit our etsy shop!

I also still have a few miles available for a donation of $50!

This holiday season, when everyone is trampling each other at the mall in the name of generous giving, please think of the adults and children who wish for a clean bill of health this season! Give the gift of care for patients and their families! Give the gift of hope for a cure! Support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by donating above!

Until next time!

Gratefully yours,

Amy Tkaczyk

Holy Moley! Can you believe it's already November! Time for colorful leaves, cool weather, warmer clothes and turkey! But you also know what that means? There's just over a month left for christmas shopping!

My mother and I have been busy cranking out goodies for the next great fundraiser!

May I present to you...

Snowman Soup!

This adorable package contains a packet of hot chocolate and a generous helping of marshmallows! Not just for the holidays, this makes a great gift all winter long! The perfect treat for kids after a long day of playing (or for us adults, shoveling...) in the snow, cuddling up with your favorite person or just because! You decide :)

Reindeer Poop!

Have a few people on your naughty list! Give them a hint with some Reindeer Poop! Before you all rush to call the Health Department, it's actually chocolate covered raisins! Mmmmm! A must tastier and far less smelly alternative to the real thing ;) Sure to bring a smile to the receipient's face, they'll go from naughty to nice in no time!

These two gifts are PERFECT for stocking stuffers for kids both young and old, coworkers, your favorite mailman, ups/fedex carrier, newpaper delivery person, etc! Each one is handmade with bright, colorful cardstock packaging, ready for giving!

You can order these directly from my crafty mother's etsy shop!

http://www.etsy.com/shop/MomsBeenScrappin

100% of sales goes directly to fundraising for Team In Training and LLS!

Cards! Cards! And MORE Cards!

These gorgeous cards are 100% handmade! Available in packs of 6, they have that special "oohmpf!" you can't get at the drugstore or the mall!

Cake Pops & Pie Pops!

Have your dessert on the go! Now you CAN have a whole pie to yourself, without the guilt! These yummy little pops are handmade, in a variety of flavor to suit all tastes!

Cake pops come in: chocolate, chocolate peanut butter and white chocolate peppermint

Pie pops flavors are: Lemon, Apple, Cherry, Pumpkin and feature a crispy crust and light glaze that corresponds with the pie filling flavor.

DO NOT miss out on these delicious beauties, they WILL go quickly!

***IF YOU'LL BE IN THE WOODBRIDGE, NJ AREA THIS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH, STOP BY MY TABLE AT WOODBRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL'S HOLIDAY BAZAAR!***

I'LL HAVE PLENTY OF SNOWMAN SOUP AND REINDEER POOP FOR ALL! (WOW, HOW WEIRD DOES THAT SOUND?) I'LL ALSO HAVE HANDMADE CHRISTMAS & HOLIDAY CARDS, CAKE POPS, PIE POPS (COURTESY OF SUGARQUEENS), MASON JAR BAKING KITS AND TEAM IN TRAINING WRIST BANDS. 100% OF MY SALES WILL ALSO GO TOWARDS FUNDRAISING FOR THE LLS! THERE WILL BE A GREAT VARIETY OF OTHER VENDORS AND EVEN CRAFTS AND GAMES FOR THE KIDS! I ALSO HEAR THAT SANTA MAY BE AROUND FOR PICTURES! (Maybe I can sell him some reindeer poop to replace coal this year..) For more information and a list of some of the featured vendors, please click HERE!

And don't forget! I still have a few miles available for purchase! Please see my last blog entry for details!

As always, thanks to everyone (especially you mom!) who has donated not only funds, but time, effort and spreading the word about my fundraising to all who will hear! The continued support and words of encouragement have kept me going! Thank you for helping me Race To Beat Cancer!

"Since I was a derp and wanted to make a donation in a certain amount yet bring you to an even total, I had to make a separate donation. I'm so proud of you and all the work you've been doing for this event. You've put in countless hours trying everything you could think of to earn donations, and seeing the look on your face when you broke amount milestones was amazing. I believe in you and know you can finish the walk. If not, I'll be there to kick your butt ;)"
