Enduring the Challenge...
to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page!
My sister Carra and I are joining The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training to endure a 3 day backpacking adventure in the heart of the Grand Canyon. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. This picture was taken on February 21st at Watchung Reservation...a hike of increased elevation and approximately 8 miles in length. We will be training regularly for this event, in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
I am personally hiking in support of Matthew Bell, a 3rd grader in my children's school. Matthew has been battling leukemia since the age of 3. He and his family have been such a positive light to the community of Warren County,NJ as they optimistically battle through one of the toughest challenges that life has to offer. Do you know someone who has to put aside the daily hustle and bustle of life to fight to regain his/her health? It puts things in perspective for those of us fortunate enough to have our health. He has inspired me to move out of my "comfort zone" and into my "courage zone" by taking on this challenge!
Please help us by making a donation today, to support our participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. I know that any extra money can be hard to find, but please empathize with those who need our help so desperately. Every little bit counts.
