Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page MOM ON A MISSION.

I'm training to run in a Marathonthis fall as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

Many of you know my son, Eric. Although he did not have cancer, he underwent very similar treatments that alot of the kiddos fighting cancer go through. Eric underwent chemotherapy treatment, immune suppressive therapy, and had a bone marrow transplant. I know first hand what it is like, as a mother, to watch your baby go through such difficult times. So I am running for the moms. I am running for every mom, as a mom, who has had to see their baby endure chemo. I am running for every mom, as a mom, who has had to wear a paper hospital gown just to touch their baby. I am running for every mom, as a mom, who did not get to bring their baby home.

I am a mom on a mission.
